Founded by Brian Roland originally for cable broadcast, Roland said, "We found that a traditional cable network model didn't give us the global reach nor the interactive community we wanted for "The Wine Channel." "We plan to be the premier multimedia family-friendly lifestyle brand that celebrates Wine and the Lifestyle it represents. The goal of The Wine Channel is to be the online destination and connection point for the diverse global wine community."
